92% of Gingrich Twitter Followers Are Fake!

Newt Gingrich staffer’s claim that Gingrich assembled his 1.4 million Twitter followers in part by buying fake Twitter followers.

PeekYou announced that it had crunched the data and come to the conclusion that roughly 106,055 of Gingrich’s million-plus followers are real people.The rest are fakes.

Remember when Newt was bragging about his Twitter followers and said this:

“I have six times as many Twitter followers as all the other candidates combined, but it didn’t count because if it counted I’d still be a candidate; since I can’t be a candidate that can’t count.”
